Filip Lee is a Balkan-Canadian screenwriter who has written award-winning content. Filip's most recent short film SLEEP TALKING, received a Special Jury Mention at Festival du Nouveau Cinéma. His prior film ANNA’S HANDS, was one of 9 films selected as part of the Telefilm Not Short On Talent program, screening at the Cannes film festival, with his preceding film VESSEL, screening in 18 international film festivals and was the Grand-prize winner of CBC’s Short Film Face-Off in 2019. The film was shown on Air Canada’s EnRoute entertainment system and was featured in several online publications, including The Globe and Mail, CBC Arts and Director’s Notes. The CBC Creative Relief Fund funded the development of a Vessel web series in 2020. The Toronto-based production company Film Forge (headed by Emmy Award winner Andrew Cividino) has since optioned the web series. Currently, Filip is working as a Writers Assistant with Collective Pictures (CODE 8, NETFLIX).
